OPENSPACEPGH Adopted by Planning Commission
OPENSPACEPGH is the open space, parks, and recreation component of PLANPGH, the City of Pittsburgh's first-ever comprehensive plan.
OPENSPACEPGH was formally adopted by the Pittsburgh Planning Commission on July 9, 2013. As a component of PLANPGH, OPENSPACEPGH and its recommendations are now officially recognized by the City--the work of implementing the many recommendations of the plan is already underway, and will continue for years to come. We'll also be making sure the other PLANPGH components to follow work well with those of OPENSPACEPGH.
Stay tuned as we update the OPENSPACEPGH page with lots more information and tools that will help to guide the plan's progress for years to come.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the OPENSPACEPGH process over the last couple of years. We couldn't have done it without all the great input from the public at the various meetings, focus groups, and online interactions we've had. OPENSPACEPGH is your plan, so be sure to stay involved, and check out the plan's recommendations to see how you can help make Pittsburgh the best place it can be!
